Dyslexia Action's Wilmslow Learning Centre held an open day last week and welcomed a number of people from the local community to browse a range of learning resources and benefit from free advice and information from specialist teachers.

Speaking about the open day, Marilyn Jones, Principal of the Wilmslow Learning Centre said, "We were delighted to meet a number of people at the open day who we could offer specialist advice to. The Learning Centre offers a range of assessments to identify if a person is affected by dyslexia as well as offering specialist support and tuition for people with literacy and numeracy difficulties, which can be a real life-line for some people."

Mrs Jones went on to explain that people are often enquiring about dyslexia which is a specific learning difficulty primarily affecting the ability to learn to read and spell and as a result, the Learning Centre holds regular awareness and information sessions.
