The 5th Wilmslow Rotary Scarecrow Festival is well underway bringing lots of colour and fun to the town centre.
Look out for the fabulous straw creations hanging out on the streets, on display in shop windows and even positioned high on the rooftops - some of which are certainly raising a few smiles.
The colourful, noisy and traffic stopping Scarecrow Parade will take place across the town centre on Saturday, June 27th - which is a great event for the whole family to watch.
The 4 metre high Rotary Scarecrows Rosie and Robin, together with the Swaminarayan Gadi Pipe Band, will set off from Sainsbury's at 11am and march along Alderley service road and then proceed down Grove Street to Bank Square. At 2pm the Scarecrow Parade will march back up Grove Street, to the end of Water Lane and back then proceed down Grove Street to Bank Square.
Forms and maps for the Scarecrow Treasure Hunt will be available next week from Wheeldon Opticians on Hawthorn Lane so parents and children can have lots of fun seeking out the clues for the chance to win some great prizes.
This popular family event runs until Saturday July 4th, then a selection of scarecrows will be on display the following day at the Wilmslow Show. All profits from the Scarecrow Festival will be donated to local charities.
Above is a selection of scarecrows I spotted on my travels around the town yesterday.
I believe I am missing about six so if you have a scarecrow that isn't yet featured in the gallery please email your high resolution photos to [email protected].

Please can you tell me which school won the scarecrow competition?
