Wilmslow Lacrosse to play host to British National Championships

Representational lacrosse teams from all over the UK will descend upon Wilmslow Lacrosse Club in Styal this May Day Bank Holiday weekend for the annual British National Championships.

Twelve men's teams will be competing for the prestigious National Champion title and the Nick Kehoe Trophy now in its 18th year

This year's tournament will have the biggest entry ever with some 320 players, officials and plenty of supporters from around the UK.

Entries are invited from Cheshire and Lancashire representing the North West, Yorkshire and the South plus national squads from Scotland and Wales with University entries from England, Scotland and Wales. The England Academy will also be fielding a team this year.

Clive Perrin, British National Championship 2015 Organiser, said "Last year's Champions Yorkshire will be looking to defend their title but expect strong competition from the North West and the South. Scotland and Wales will be using the tournament as they start their Euro 16 preparations."

Clive added "The BNCs provide a superb weekend of highly entertaining and exciting lacrosse to the spectator."

Games commence 10.00am on Saturday and 10.30am on Sunday with the finals throughout Sunday afternoon culminating in the Championship game at 2.45pm.
