Wilmslow Neighbourhood Police Unit has a new PCSO in the form of Matt O'Brien. Matt served as a Special Constable with Merseyside Police for two years and worked for a large UK bank for over 8 years prior to joining the team.
Matt has been given responsibility for two areas, splitting his time between Colshaw Farm and Alderley Edge working alongside the dedicated PCSOs, Emma Darroch for Colshaw Farm and Sarah Stanley for Alderley Edge.
Sgt Andy Miller said "I think that this benefits both communities and enables Matt to get experience in and get to know two different communities. As an ex Special from Merseyside Police he brings with his some good skills and experience and I know he is very keen to get out and start problem solving those issues that the public bring to our attention."
Matt commented "I am looking forward to a new challenge and to getting to know the community of Colshaw Farm. I am keen to meet and develop a good working relationship with all members of the community and to resolve any local issues by forming lasting relationships with partner agencies. I look forward to, helping make the community feel safer and to build confidence in the Police."
