A 34-year-old man from Bramhall has been arrested and charged with driving a motor vehicle when above the alcohol limit following a collision in Wilmslow on Monday, 1st December.
The collision, involving a red Mercedes Benz Sprinter van and a red Mini-Cooper, is believed to have occurred at approximately 7.30pm at the junction of Adlington Road and Wilmslow Park.
A police spokesperson said "The driver of the Mini Cooper, Toby Makin, of Valley Road Bramhall, Stockport, has been released on bail and is due to appear at Macclesfield Magistrates on Thursday 18th December 2014."
The driver was over four and a half times the legal limit. Nobody was injured in the collision.
