Police were called to a report of a vehicle which had crashed on Sefton Drive at 5.22 this morning (Wednesday 12th November).

Two men were seen to leave the vehicle and head off towards Carlton Avenue. It quickly became apparent that the car had been stolen during a burglary in Wilmslow earlier.

Officers conducted an extensive search of the area, assisted by the police helicopter, which resulted in two men, both aged 22, being arrested for burglary.

A 19 year old man was also arrested for causing injury or damage in a road traffic collision.

All three men are from the Manchester area.

I heard the helicopter flying about this morning and Sefton Drive was still closed at 8am. It's good to hear the suspects have been caught, anyhow!
Well done to the Police team!!!
