Pony rescued from ditch in Wilmslow

A pony stuck in a ditch in Wilmslow has been rescued by firefighters.

Firefighters were called to Rotherwood Road at 11.28am today, Thursday 23rd October, where a pony was stuck in the ditch and unable to right itself.

Firefighters managed to get the animal standing and waited with it until the line rescue unit from Bollington arrived. The crews were then able to get the pony out from the ditch and back into the field where it was left in the care of a vet.
