A beauty salon and fitness studio which opened on Grove Street in July 2013 closed on Friday, 11th October.

Lotus Five, which was a new venture for Wilmslow resident Aisling Ward, was located in the premises previously occupied by the Royles triathlon store.

Providing wellbeing and beauty treatments under one roof, Lotus Five offered hot yoga, Pilates, core stability classes and personal training. Whilst the upstairs salon incorporated a nail bar and tanning booth as well as offering facials and massages.

Shame this place has closed, however with a food hygene rating of 1 out of 5 it is no great loss from a culinary point of view.

I regularly attended Granville's hot yoga classes here (as well as Adele's yoga workshops) and can honestly say, Lotus Five was a beautiful little place and will be missed by all of its customers. The staff were exceptional and made you feel so welcome. It is a real shame this business didn't work out, and I am personally gutted. It is a huge loss to yoga lovers in Wilmslow and surrounding areas.

Lotus Five yoga classes were without exception fabulous. The teachers offered excellent value for money, the classes were really therapeutic and great in terms of fitness and good health. The staff were lovely, creating a happy and friendly atmosphere, which rubbed off on all the clients. For me, it was a really positive experience every time.

I find it so sad to see businesses, one after another, closing down like this. Not just from the customer's perspective but more so from the business owner's, who will undoubtedly have invested so much of themselves and their money into the venture only to have to watch it fail. Town Centres like Wilmslow need to be seen as thriving and diverse in order to survive. A sad day.
