Wilmslow Police will be launching an initiative with Crimestoppers UK next week which will focus on the Colshaw Farm area of town.
There will be a small launch at Summerfield shopping centre starting at 1.30pm on Tuesday, 14th October, where a representative from Crimestoppers will be manning a stand and handing out flyers to explain to local residents what Crimestoppers actually do.
Sgt Andy Miller explained "Around 1000 leaflets will then be delivered on Colshaw Farm next week asking people to speak out about the issues that affect them on the estate anonymously such as drugs, ASB, fly tipping and burglary."
He added "Crimestoppers are an independent charity and not part of the Police but they forward information to the Law Enforcement Agencies that will assist them in fighting crime and improving communities. People can tell them anything and will never be asked for their names or any personal details."
