Hockey: Wilmslow goalkeeper selected for British squad again

An 18 year-old hockey player from Wilmslow has just been picked for further international honours.

Wilmslow Hockey Club's goalkeeper Elliot Bullman has been selected as part of the Great Britain U21 team to play in the Sultan of Johor Cup in Malaysia.

This event, which takes place from 6th to 21st October, features teams from Australia, India, Malaysia, New Zealand and Pakistan.

Elliot said ""I am very honoured to have been selected for the Great Britain squad and I am really looking forward to playing against the top teams in the world. I'd also like to acknowledge the support and encouragement I have had from my coaches and team mates at Wilmslow Hockey Club in helping me develop my skills to give me the opportunity to play international hockey."

Martin Stocker, secretary of Wilmslow Hockey Club, commented "This is another honour for Elliot and the club. We wish him well in the tournament – and on managing to juggle his academic work as he he starts his university course this month."
