Have your say on police priorities at community meeting

The next Wilmslow and Alderley Edge Police Community Meeting will be held on on Thursday 2nd October.

The meeting will take place from 6.30pm until 7.30pm in the first floor library at Wilmslow High School.

The purpose of these meetings is for local residents of Wilmslow and Alderley Edge to put forward suggestions for the local policing team to focus on and solve.

Sgt Andy Mills said "If you have any community issues that concern you that you would like to bring to the attention of myself and my team then please come along and have your say. It's an ideal opportunity to have the local police prioritise an issue that is affecting your community and work with you to address the route cause of the problem.

"For those of you have attended these meetings previously they used to be called the Wilmslow Focus Group Meeting and they started at 7.15pm instead. We have made some changes and would like to hear from you if you have any other ideas as to how we can encourage other residents to come along and have their say."

Issues that have been prioritised in the past include speeding, parking, traffic offences such as the illegal use of mobile phones whilst driving and problems with Travellers and illegal encampments.

Why let PCSO's drive around in cars and not walk the beat or use the bikes that were provided for them?
It's hard to speak when they drive past you so fast!
