As a resident of Hawthorn Street I'm dreading this - I can only imagine how many people will choose to use this already congested alternative route as an alternative!

Indeed Kate, hawthorn street should have speed bumps, traffic calming measures and a 20 zone imo. Maybe even one way. Its a terrible road.

Why are you so worried Kate? Every road user pays road tax and that gives them right to use any road they want. It's not ONLY the residents' right to use a road that is already congested or whatever.
