A Wilmslow restaurant has been granted permission to redevelop its alfresco dining area, however they will not be able to extend its opening hours.
Chilli Banana on Water Lane has been given the go ahead to create a covered outside dining area on the roof terrace, which will allow 'alfresco dining' in all weathers.
They also applied to have the existing planning constraints which restrict the opening of the outside area to 6pm removed, so the alfresco dining area can be used until 11pm. This was not approved though and use of the first floor terrace is restricted to 12noon to 6pm to "protect the amenities of the occupants of neighbouring residential properties and to comply with policy DC3 of the Local Plan".
Additionally, no music shall be played on the terrace area unless the local planning authority gives written consent.
