The Other Side of Lindow Moss Walk

Saturday, 24th Jun, 2017 9:00am til 12:00pm

Transition Wilmslow is organizing another guided walk on "The Other Side of Lindow Moss", an area you may not know very well, and which is steeped in archeological, historical and environmental interest.

They will leave from the Plough and Flail Car Park promptly at 10am, please dress for the weather (it may be muddy and you will definitely need boots) and bring water, suncream (ever optimistic) and any refreshments you may need.

This walk is unsuitable for buggies or wheelchairs, unfortunately, and they will be walking at a reasonable place for around 3 hours.

Children welcome if accompanied by a parent, dogs only if well behaved and on a lead (they may be walking in fields with livestock).

The walk will finish around 1pm back at The Plough and Flail.

The walk will include discussion about the history, archeology and flora and fauna of this unique landscape. It will include a visit to the historic and very evocative Quaker graveyard. No charge, but a donation of £2 or so to cover our expenses would be much appreciated.

Register early to avoid disappointment.

Email if there are any questions.
