Here's what others have had to say about Horse & Jockey.
5 A real 'Local'. Lovely place!
Since the current landlady and landlord took over this pub some years ago it has been transformed and has got steadily better, especially the beers on offer. Landlady Emma is rightly proud of her real ales, and the quite excellent 'Copper Dragon' from Skipton Breweries is the well-kept regular bitter, with usually Black Sheep and a guest real ale on offer as well. There is also a selection of lagers and keg beers available if that's your preferance, and of course wines and spirits as well.
This is a real 'Local', a friendly and popular pub with warmth and a welcome. Highly recommended.
5 Traditional Heaven
Having frequented this establishment on many occasions, I have found it to be most welcoming and above all it remains a traditional public house.
The staff, Landlady and Landlord are a refreshing change from their business like counterparts of the town centre pubs. The beer is kept well and the pub is always clean and tidy. With the added bonus of a well proportioned beer garden this pub will hopefully go from strength to strength.
