Since moving here 8 years ago I have tried a number of different hairdressers in the area.

Harper & Quinn was recommended to me earlier this year and I'm so glad they were.

Stacey and Paul who own the salon are both lovely and very talented. Stacey cuts my hair and having struggled to get the right cut for a while she does a great job. (Though it never looks as good when I do it and I never have time to get it cut as regularly as I should).

The first time I went there I took my young daughters who had their hair done at the same time as me, which they loved and ended up with fantastic bobs - though I've since decided to keep my trips to the hairdressers a child-free experience.

It isn't cheap, but as the saying goes, you pay for what you get and personally I think it's worth paying for.

It is a rare hour of peace for me and I thoroughly enjoy catching up with Stacey every couple of months.

I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Harper & Quinn, they do a great job, there is a lovely atmosphere and all the staff I have met have been very friendly.

Jonathan - Director at this salon deserves recognition for how good he is. He is not only very polite and down to earth - he is also the best hairdresser I have ever been to since Spencer at Toni and Guy in Manchester left years ago.

The Kevin Murphy shampoos have transformed my once frizzy locks into conditioned curls and I am really happy with the caramel highlights which look so much more natural than previous attempts.

I would recommend this salon to anyone who is prepared to pay a little bit extra for a perfect hair cut. They also do a very good loyalty scheme. Afterall you get what you pay for sometimes.
